If you didn't make it to Cave Run Lake on May 31st, you missed out on a great day.  God Blessed mightily with beautiful weather as well as a wonderful time.

We began the day with service at the ampitheater located below the shelter house at the West Group Use Area at twin Knobs.  Bro. Carlos and his family sang as well as the youth which was followed by preaching from both Bro. Mike and Bro. Greg.  Some of us enjoyed the sunshine while others opted for the shade on the bank behind us Wink.  Either way we had a great service.

After service we all enjoyed a pot luck dinner (we have some excellent cooks) which was followed by an afternoon of fun and games.  We had baseball, volleyball, bicycle riding, wagon riding, frisbee, trail walking, fellowhsip, relaxing on the grass (both in the sun and shade), pinata bashing, music and singing, and for some simply enjoying the company of friends and family.

God was good to us, as He always is.  We give hime praise for the day as we do for all things.

Articles of Faith PDF Print E-mail

These are the articles of our faith.  These articles are what we believe and what we base our Church teachings on.  The Word of GOD has not changed and thus these are the same articles that were established by the Enterprise Association of Regular Baptists when it was organized in 1894.

Article 1. We believe in one true and living God - Father and Son and Holy Ghost equal in essence, power and glory. (Scripture - For there are three that bear record in Heaven, The Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost and these three are one. 1 John 5:7)

Article 2. We Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, and our only rule of Faith and Practice. Scripture - Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5:5)

Article 3. We believe that by the offence of one judgement came upon all men to condemnation, even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life, by which the grace of God became equally accessible to all men. (Scripture - Therefore, as by the offence of one judgement came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free Gift came upon all men unto the justification of life. Romans 5:18)

Article 4. We believe that sinners are justified by the grace of God, received through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Scripture - For by Grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the Gift of God: Not of works lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the Glory of God. Romans 5:1-2)

Article 5. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust, and that the happiness of the righteous, and the punishment of the wicked will be eternal. Scripture - Marvel not at this; for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. John 5: 28-29)

Article 6. We believe that the Church of God is composed of those who have been partakers of the Holy Ghost, and tasted of the good Word of God, and the powers of the world to come. (Scripture - Then Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink His blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:53-54)

Article 7. We believe that we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous, and that He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world. (Scripture - My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous, and He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:1-2)

Article 8. We believe that only those who have received remission of sins are fit subjects for Baptism, and that immersion in water is the only mode. (Scripture - And he commanded the chariot to stand still; and they went down both into the water, both Phillip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. Acts 8:38)

Article 9. We believe that the Lord's supper and the washing of the Saint's feet are ordinances of the Lord and shall be observed by the Church until the Second Coming of Christ. (Scripture - If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example that ye should do as I have done to you. John 13:14-15)

Article 10. We believe that the Gospel is the power of God unto Salvation to everyone that believes, and that it is commanded to be preached to every creature; and that all men are responsible for the manner in which they hear. (Scripture - Take heed therefore how ye hear; for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hat not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have. Romans 2:13. For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. Luke 8:18)

Article 11. We believe there is but one true Church, and that every member thereof is an heir of God and joint heir with Christ; and not one member of His Church shall ever perish. (Scripture - And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:17;38-39. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. John 10:28-29)
